Getting Paid · Powered by Found

Getting paid is quick. Here's exactly how.

CXN Corp sends payments electronically through Found. This guide walks you through every screen — from the notification to money in your account. No Found account required, and nothing to download.

Before you start
  • Have one of these handy: your bank's account & routing number, or a debit card. You also have the option to verify your bank automatically through Plaid.
  • Don't wait too long. The payment link expires on the date shown in your notification. Accept it before then, or it comes back to us and we'll have to resend.
What is Found? Do I need to sign up?

Found is the payment platform CXN Corp uses to send money out. It's a financial technology company (banking services are provided by Lead Bank, Member FDIC).

You do not need to open a Found account to get paid. You can send your payment straight to the bank you already use. Opening a Found account is just one of the options below — totally optional. Some people do like it (it's a free business bank account with built-in invoicing and tax tools), but it's never required.

The Walkthrough
1
Step 01

You get a payment notification

You'll get an email (and maybe a text) that says "Payment from CXN Corp." with the dollar amount. Tap the Accept payment button to begin. Notice the expiration date near the bottom — accept before then.

Tap "Accept payment"

Step 02

Confirm it's really you

Found sends a 6-digit code to your email or phone. Open that message, find the code, and type it in. Didn't get it? Tap "Send again" and check your spam/junk folder.

Quick safety note

Found will never ask you for this code over the phone. Only type it into the screen — never read it out or forward it to anyone.

Step 03 · Conditional

Fill out a W-9 Some people only

You'll only see this if CXN has you set up as a contractor for tax purposes. A W-9 is a standard IRS form — nothing unusual.

Were you asked to fill out a W-9?

Great — you can skip straight to Step 04: choose how you want your money. ↓

a

Enter your legal name, email, and address under Contact details.

b

Under Business info: a business name is optional (leave blank if you're just an individual). For Tax classification, Sole proprietor is the common choice for individuals. Then pick SSN or EIN and enter that number. Tap Submit W-9.

c

You'll see "W-9 submitted." Tap Choose deposit method to keep going.

Step 04

Choose how you want your money

Now pick how you'd like to receive the payment. There are four ways. Here's each one in plain English — tap the one you want and we'll walk you through just that path.

The four options you'll see

A Send it to your existing bank

Tap Bank account. Found gives you two ways to connect — pick whichever feels easier.

Use bank login or enter account details
Two ways to connect
Way 1 Log into your bank

Easiest if you bank online. Found uses Plaid — a secure service banks trust — to connect for you.

1

Tap Use bank login, then enter your phone number to start.

2

Plaid texts you a code. Enter it to continue.

3

Pick your account from the list. Don't see your bank? Tap "Add new account" and search for it by name.

2 · Verify with the code

3 · Pick your account

Way 2 Type it in by hand

No login needed. Choose Enter account details and type your info.

1

Enter your name, account number, and routing number, then pick Checking, Savings, or Business checking.

2

Where are those numbers? They're on the bottom of a paper check, or inside your bank's app/website under account details.

Enter bank account details manually

Finish Confirm & deposit

Either way, you'll land here. Check it's the right account and tap Deposit. That's it.

Tap "Deposit" → done

B Deposit to Found

Read this first

The screen says "instant" and "for free" — and it is. But choosing this opens a brand-new Found bank account in your name. That's a real, free account (no monthly fees, no minimum balance, no credit check), and some people love it for invoicing and tracking taxes.

If you just want your money in the bank you already use, go back and pick "Bank account" instead — no new account needed.

Still want it? Tap Next and follow the sign-up. Your payment lands instantly once your Found account is set up.

C Debit card

Fast, but Found takes a small fee (shown on the option, e.g. $0.50) for instant card transfers.

1

Enter your name, card number, expiration date, and CVV (the 3 digits on the back of the card).

2

Add your billing address, then tap Next.

Enter debit card details

Enter billing address for debit card
2 · Billing address → Next

D Other payment apps

This trips people up

You can't use your @username, $cashtag, or email here. Each payment app (Venmo, PayPal, Cash App…) gives your account a real account number and routing number — that's what goes in these boxes.

1

Find your numbers first. Open your payment app and look under its banking / direct deposit settings — it'll show an account number and a routing number. (Some apps make you verify your identity before showing them.)

2

Back on Found, enter your name, account number, and routing number, then tap Next. Stuck finding the numbers? Tap "Need help?" on that screen.

Step 05

Set it and forget it

Found asks how you want to handle future payments from CXN Corp. Do yourself a favor: choose "Send to [your account]" so it happens automatically every time. Picking "Ask me each time" just makes you repeat all of this on the next payment. Tap Save.

Step 06 · Done

You're paid

That's it — you'll see "Payment accepted." Your money is on its way: instant for Found or debit card, 1–2 business days for a bank account or payment app. You can tap "View receipt" any time.

If Something Goes Sideways
I never got the verification code
Tap "Send again" on the code screen, then check your spam/junk folder. Codes can take a minute. Still nothing? The email or phone number on file may be off — reach out to us (below) and we'll fix it.
The payment expired / I waited too long
No problem. The link just times out for security. Contact us and we'll resend a fresh one.
Which option is fastest and free?
Deposit to Found is instant and free — but it opens a Found account. A regular bank account transfer is also free and takes 1–2 business days. Debit card is instant but has a small fee.
Do I have to open a Found account?
Nope. Choose "Bank account" to send the money to the bank you already use. A Found account is optional.
Is this safe?
Found is a financial technology company; banking is provided by Lead Bank (Member FDIC). When you connect a bank by logging in, it goes through Plaid, a secure service used across the industry. Found will never ask for your verification code by phone.
I get paid by paper check — is any of this for me?
No — if we mail you a check, you don't need to do anything here. The check comes in the mail.
I'm still stuck
